This ’78 Checker Cab isn’t your normal hack. “I quit the cab company five years ago,” says Barnes, “and skewed off into what I like to call the Musical Comedy Taxi Theatre Nightclub. It’s like an amusement park ride that combines the magic of driving through Aspen, Colorado, at night in a spaceship environment.” Stocked mainly with Yamaha gear (PSR-610, MU80, WT11, and DD14), a CD changer, lasers, fiber optics, and a mirror ball, the Taxi rents for $20 per half-hour per person.
